Our process - Custom Home Builders

Our process is simple, and takes the customer’s needs into consideration every step of the way. Dezcan Group is committed to enabling communication between customer and builder, creating unique, modern homes throughout the Greater Toronto Area. We support your dream and team up with you, creating a collaborative process with spurs your creativity and allows us to make the most of every renovation, home addition, remodel and the custom-building process we are faced with.

Step 1: Establishing a Vision

During our initial consultation, we meet with you and get a sense of the ideas you’re bringing to the table. We’ll take the time to listen to every single one of your ideas, and get a sense of your dream. To start planning, we survey the land or home and determine the scope of the project we’re working on, and how we can be of service.

Step 2: Land Acquisition

If you don’t already have a plot of land to build on, we’ll help find the perfect location for your custom-building project.

Step 3: Planning

We’ll start planning, by using your ideas to create a set of architectural plans, rendered using our advanced 3D design programs. We’ll work with you to create accurate plans, and take every one of your ideas and implement them into a realistic design. When we have a set of working drawings you’re happy with, we’ll budget and design accordingly, attempting to provide you with a clear estimate of the costs and timeframe.

Step 4: Building Permits

Once we’ve created a set of working designs, we’ll submit out architectural drawings to the proper authorities to be approved.

Step 5: Building Begins

During the building process, we’ll be responsible for every aspect of creating your dream renovation, remodel or custom home. Starting with the foundation and framing, all the way to electrical work and plumbing, we work with you to ensure that your project is exactly what you envisioned. We work with a talented set of tradespeople, designers and contractors who are hand-picked to bring your dream to life.

Step 6: Finishing Touches

While the construction phase has ended, the care doesn’t stop. We can help you decorate, finish and plan the inner workings of your home once we have finished building. We’ll work with you to make you’re your home comfortable, or set it up for re-sale with our staging design skills.

In addition, all of our custom homes, remodel and renovation projects are covered by a complete warranty, meaning you can rest assured that any faults will be corrected in the unlikely eventuality they occur.
